    SCCI is seeking a Technical Configuration Analyst to support our H43 Battle Management System Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, assisting with and maintaining business and configuration control processes, policies, workflows and workflow management tools, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) based on program requirements. This position is location in Dahlgren, VA.



    • Work as a liaison among engineers, configuration management specialists, logistics, and project stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and implement requirements for system baseline management.
    • Develop and/or monitor and enforce established Data Management and Workflow Processes. 
    • Collaborate with project teams to ensure rigorous tracking of hardware, software, and documentation versioning.
    • Actively work with personnel across the organization to foster collaboration, maintain data integrity, and assist to define necessary solution improvements if needed.
    • Rapidly build a solid foundation of technical and workflow/data-management tool knowledge, with the capability of mentoring, supporting, and training teammates on tool use.
    • Develop and maintain configuration baselines as assigned.
    • Support the transition of new Business and Configuration Control Tools from their developmental to fully-deployed state.
    • Assist in the development of software and hardware deliveries to involve preparation, tracking and transmittal creation.
    • Serve as the lead configuration analyst to the Engineering Chair, for weekly configuration control boards.  Capture meeting highlights, action items and generate trip reports.
    • Develop and revise process documents in support of configuration process management.
    • Maintain effective customer relationships.
    • Facilitate communication flow within internal team and external customers.
    • Develop weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly reports utilizing MSWord and other material utilizing Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and other industry recognized programs.


    Essential Skills and Experience:

    • Must be US Citizen and have an Active Secret Security Clearance.
    • A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline OR five (5) years of direct hands-on configuration management experience with a major weapon system application.
    • One (1) year of which must demonstrate experience with systems engineering and work management tools such as Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS), Atlassian Jirra, and/or SolidWorks Enterprise Product Data Management (PDM).
    • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques used in configuration management support.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of the formal change control processes:
      • Class I changes
      • Class II changes
      • Change Control Board (CCB)
    • Demonstrated experience related to weapons systems and/or Navy programs.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of CM Industry Standards and Military Standards
    • Comprehensive knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques used in stakeholder requirements analysis.
    • Ability to quickly learn new tools and technical system configurations, and understand part versioning.
    • Strong facilitation skills to assist stakeholders in successful prioritization, analysis, and group consensus of decision making goals.
    • Highly proficient with MS Office tools, primarily MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to effectively communicate across all organizational levels to include co-workers, managers and government customers.
    • Ability to multi-task, work well independently and in a team environment.
    • Self-starter with strong technical skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
    • Ability to write clear, logically sequenced and grammatically correct documents.

    Preferred Skills and Experience:

    • Familiarity with the following: 
      • MS Access and/or Database Management.
      • C/C++ Software Language
      • Linux Software
