    SCCI has openings for entry-level System Administrators.  We are seeking creative and innovative staff for supporting multiple web application development, test, and production environments.  Our team provides technical IT services for information management systems to multiple major DoD programs.  Our systems are hosted at multiple facilities and include CM, Modernization Planning, and System Engineering tools.  If you are searching for the opportunity to work with a skilled and motivated team on leading-edge work come join us!     Responsibilities

    As an entry-level System Administrator, you will join a small working group on our team lead by an experienced System Administrator.  The team supports an array of tools at multiple hosting sites by doing installations, configurations, troubleshooting, and IA maintenance. 

    • Identify and download quarterly patches for infrastructure components.
    • Perform checks on environments to verify application availability.
    • Write scripts to automate stopping and starting component groups.
    • Review and remediate IA requirements and findings including SRGs, STIGs, and scan findings.
    • Troubleshoot issues affecting application operations and availability.

    Qualifications

    Essential Skills and Experience:

    • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an ACTIVE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE. 
    • Three (3) years of technical experience in information systems development, functional and data requirements analysis, systems analysis and design, programming, program design and documentation preparation.
    • Demonstrated experience working with networked client/server or distributed systems.
    • Demonstrated experience communicating directions and providing guidance to a team of system engineers and developers.
    • Experience working as part of a team of developers, coders, testers, and CM specialists.
    • Security+ CE Certification (or ability to attain within 45 days of employment).
    • Computing Environment Certification- Microsoft Windows or Linux or ability to attain within 45 days of employment.

    Preferred Skills and Experience:

    • Associate's Degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or Math.
    • Windows Server 2012 R2 or higher experience.
    • RedHat Enterprise Linux.
    • Version control tools including git or Subversion.
    • Team Foundation Server.
