    SCCI has a truly exciting opportunity for an Atlassian JIRA Systems Architect.  The best candidate will serve as the primary advocate and Subject Matter Expert for Atlassian JIRA products at SCCI Inc., supporting the Department of the Navy in Dahlgren Virginia.

     

    The JIRA Systems Architect collaborates with multiple teams and stakeholders in the design, implementation and maintenance of Issue Tracking, Configuration Management and Applications to be built on various Atlassian products: Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket. The position is hands on in all aspects of the design and delivery of a JIRA architecture and follow-on product architectures in which they reside.

     

    The candidate for this role will own all aspects of design, development and integration of all products related to Atlassian JIRA and follow-on products of the SDLC portfolio including information related to code reviews, workflows, bi-directionally workflows between teams – providing end-to-end traceability in software development.

    Responsibilities

    The JIRA Developers primary job responsibilities will include:

    • Design, architect, deploy, integrate, improve, troubleshoot and support scalable development, test and production environments running various Atlassian components as JIRA, Bitbucket, and ConnectALL ALM router for JIRA Integration with Confluence, Microsoft TFS, and IBM Rational Tools.
    • Administer JIRA projects, creating complex workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes in automating end-to-end request process
    • Create scripts utilizing JIRA ScriptRunner to create automated and dynamic request forms.
    • Understanding of Atlassian Project Configurator for transporting JIRA instances between development and production environments.
    • Assist in creating detailed architecture design diagrams/business process modelling flow charts
    • Develop and implement Confluence and Jira Applications, Workflows and scripts with a strong emphasis on usability, component reusability, security, and leverage various marketplace components.
    • Implement project reporting capabilities including Dashboards inside the Atlassian platform: Kanban, Scrum boards, documentation templates.
    • Build and maintain documentation as it pertains to all Atlassian projects.
    • Serve as the primary advocate and Subject Matter Expert for Atlassian at SCCI Inc.
    • Propose system improvements, gather requirements and “sell” ideas to the various stakeholders including preparing status reports, proposals and roadmap presentations.

    Qualifications

    Desired Skills and Experience:

    • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an ACTIVE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE
    • BS in Computer Science, technical related field, or extensive on the job experience
    • 3+ years of experience with extensive relevant work experience in JIRA and Confluence
    • Mastery in creating custom workflows, post functions, and validators, make changes to workflows, screens, fields, and reporting, and provide ongoing support and configuration maintenance.
    • Working knowledge extending Atlassian REST services and JIRA plugins using the Atlassian SDK.
    • Working knowledge of Bitbucket is preferred
    • Experience supporting teams across different geographies and time zones is preferred
    • Relevant Atlassian certification and accreditations are highly desired
