    SCCI currently has an exciting opportunity for a curious and creative leading-edge .Net Application Developer to work in our King George, Virginia office near NSWCDD Dahlgren, VA. If you are of this fabric and mindset we have an immediate opening for you to join our dynamic development team.  The .Net Application Developer will be part of a small team supporting the Navy Modernization Process / Navy Data Environment applications in the ASP.Net Framework.


    S/he will also provide Sr. Level support to the VIEWNet application group on Naval Engineering Management Services in the development of the Virtual Integrated War Room Network functionality.  The candidate in a matrixed capacity will on occasion provide support as needed for server-side coding changes to the classified VIEWNet application hosted in the IWSL, Dahlgren.  As a technical lead, the candidate may brief at the IPR for Contract Level personnel.  In addition, the Senior Web Developer will:

    • Communicate with users to resolve their issues with the tools.
    • Provide database development and life cycle support, Oracle or MS SQL.
    • Deliver software components electronically to test environment.
    • Provide writing skills in support of software development projects.
    • Provide technical and administrative support to program and project management (PM) teams.
    • Manage web application environments/data artifacts.
    • Maintain all existing web application environments.
    • Develop, deploy, integrate, customize, and sustain Web applications.
    • Establish and maintain SOPs that define the change control process for Web applications.
    • Participate in change control boards and integrated product teams to coordinate web application development and deployment with the user base.
    • Collect, analyze, and report metrics on web usage.


    Essential Skills and Experience:

    • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an Active Secret Security Clearance.
    • Six (6) years technical experience in developing application components and web pages to support the design of informational web-based systems.
    • Experience in 3 of the following toolsets:
      • Web page content tools (ie., HTML , CSS 3 , JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax)
      • PHP
      • Java/ JDeveloper/ Angular
      • SubVersion and/or team Foundation Server
      • PL/SQL
      • Graphics tools including Graphviz/GIMP
    • Demonstrated knowledge of requirements definition, formulating design methodology, systems integration and testing to verify required performance, database management and maintenance, modular testing, assessment of change proposals for technical merit, and documentation origination.
    • Familiar with MS SharePoint 2013 backend development and design.
    • Experience with scripting with two of the following (C/C++, ASP.Net, Java, PHP, etc.)
    • Familiar with Agile SDLS and Sprints, Scrums, Development Velocity.
    • Demonstrated experience communicating directions and providing guidance to a team of web developers.

    Preferred Skills and Experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree.
    • CompTIA Security + ce certification or ability to attain within 45 days.
    • Experience with requirements, use case analysis and UML modeling.
