    SCCI currently has an exciting opportunity for a Graphics Designer to work in our King George, Virginia office near NSWCDD Dahlgren, VA. Our team develops and maintains IT solutions.  Our Graphics Designer will support the graphics needed for our user interfaces, portals, dashboards, and sites.  These IT solutions will support a large user community including the Department of Navy, Department of Army, Department of the Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard.  If you are experienced in SharePoint integrations and are ready to work with a dynamic development team come join us. This position is in support of future work.

    Responsibilities

    The responsibilities of the Graphics Designer include:

    • Establishing and maintaining style guides to standardize the look and feel of the UI across sites and similar functional components.
    • Creating mockups for iterative UI reviews.
    • Assessing UI design from a user perspective to enhance the user experience across tools developed by the team.
    • Evaluating existing web components for compliance with established standardization guides.
    • Working closely with development teams to understand the IT efforts and propose the best graphics solutions based on the technical requirements, environment constraints and customer’s expectations.

    Qualifications

    Essential Skills and Experience:

    • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have a minimum of a Secret Security Clearance
    • 3 years’ experience designing Graphical User Interfaces using Adobe Creative Suite or similar product.
    • 2 years’ experience in translating requirements into wireframes and mock-ups.
    • 2 years’ experience in creating and editing style guides and master pages in a SharePoint 2010 or later environment.
    • 2 years’ experience in HTML and CSS.
    • 3 years’ experience in user-centered design process, specifically related to accessibility and Web Standards.
    • 2 years’ experience in working relationships with content administrators, stakeholders, development teams, and external agencies.
    • Strong customer service, negotiation, and influencing skills required.
