  • Overview

    SCCI is seeking Junior, Mid, and Senior level Software Engineers to join our Team at Hill AFB outside Salt Lake City, UT. The successful candidate will be a key member of a high-performing DOD acquisition team. These positions are in support of future work and are expected to begin in September 2018. 



    The Software Engineer will:


    • Develop tactical code in support of the BCS-F weapon system.
    • Work independently and with a small team to develop and maintain code for new software applications and capabilities, as well as system updates and enhancements.
    • Address system requirements through the development of software-level requirements, design, and code.
    • Design, develop, evaluate, and maintain software design documentation as-needed.
    • Coordinate with Systems Engineering, Training and Test teams, through a variety of processes, to ensure that software meets end-user and sponsor requirements.
    • Provide troubleshooting expertise and drive resolution for all issues in Developer and Test environments, and other environments on an as-needed basis.


    Essential Skills and Experience


    • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an Active Secret Security Clearance. 
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering or related field.
    • 0-3 years of experience (new college graduate) for Junior candidates, 3+ years of software development experience for Mid-level candidates; 10+ years of software development experience for Senior-level candidates in a comparable environment.
    • Experience with C ,C++, and Java.
    • Understanding of the software development lifecycle including gathering requirements, software design, implementation, documentation, configuration management, test and support.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
    • Strong organizational skills, understanding of process development and execution, and execution to a schedule.

    Preferred Skills and Experience


    • Experience with Ada programming language.
    • Experience using scripting and analysis tools: Bash, Python, and/or Perl.
    • Experience supporting Department of Defense (or related) programs.
    • Experience with the DOD Acquisition lifecycle.
