  • Overview

    SCCI is seeking a motivated Configuration Management Analyst that will provide CM related functions to support LCS Combat Systems. This position is available immediately and is located in Dahlgren, VA.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in the development and maintenance of CM processes, policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) based on program requirements.
    • Track identified LCS CS Nomenclature.
    • Track LCS CS Software Baselines.
    • Generate standard documents such as availability summary reports and combat system weekly reports.
    • Initiate NRT review of Baseline Nomenclature tracker spreadsheet.
    • Provide queries to assist System Engineering, Certification, and other groups with specific query extractions for their purpose (usually to determine what CSEs or combinations have been through Authorizations or Certifications previously).
    • Perform status verification in the Advanced Configuration Control and Engineering Status System (ACCESS).
    • Perform Quality Assurance (QA) checks for data accuracy and assist with resolution of discrepancies.
    • Capture meeting highlights/minutes, action items, and generate trip reports.

    Qualifications

    Essential skills and Experience:

    • Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to successfully pass a Background Investigation and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Understanding of the 5 Functional Areas of CM, which include; Configuration Planning, Configuration Control, Configuration Identification, Configuration Status Accounting, Configuration Audits.
    • Proficient with MS ACCESS, EXCEL.
    • Proficient in Change Control Boards.
    • Understanding of Navy Moderation Process.
    • Understanding of Hardware/Software Configurations.
    • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to collect data from difference sources and pull information from reports.
    • Ability to work independently and effectively communicate within a team environment and across organizational levels to include co-workers, managers, and government customers.

    Preferred Skills and Experience:

    • Proficient with Class I and II Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), ECP Cost Sheets, Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), Major and Minor Requests for Deviation (RFDs), Ship Change Documents (SCDs), Advance Change/Study Notices (ACSNs), Specification Change Notices (SCNs), Class, and SCD supporting documentation (Briefs, etc.) that impact SSDS MK 2.
    • Proficient in reviewing Ship Change Documents (SCDs).
    • Proficient with Advanced Configuration Control and Engineering Status System (ACCESS).
    • Familiar with Mission Readiness Assessment (MRA) and System Engineering Technical Review (SETR).
    • 10-15 years of administrative professional work experience.
    • Experience related to weapons systems and/or Navy programs.
