  • Overview

    SCCI is looking for a Configuration Management Specialist which will provide Configuration Management support to a team of application developers.  This position is located in Dahlgren, VA and is expected to start in the June 2018 timeframe. 


    • Assist in the development and maintenance of CM processes, policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) based on program requirements
    • Perform Quality Assurance (QA) checks for data accuracy and assist with resolution of discrepancies in SOPs
    • Capture meeting highlights/minutes, action items


    Essential skills and Experience:

    • Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to successfully obtain a SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE
    • 3 years of experience working with information systems development teams developing technical documentation and executing code configuration management
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Working understanding of the 5 Functional Areas of CM, which include; Configuration Planning, Configuration Control, Configuration identification, Configuration Status Accounting, Configuration Audits
    • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Ability to collect data from different sources and pull information from reports
    • Ability to effectively communicate within a team environment and across organizational levels to include co-workers, managers, and government customers
    • Ability to work independently

    Preferred Skills and Experience:

    • Experience with code configuration tools such as Subversion or Git supporting multiple applications in concurrent development cycles
