SCCI is looking for a motivated Senior Configuration Management Analyst that will provide CM related functions. This position is available immediately and located in Dahlgren, VA.


  • Attend and participate in various Baseline (B/L), Working Groups, and Integrated Program Reviews meetings and brief documentation production, scheduling, and delivery status at Program Office and Certification Panel meetings.
  • Perform research to validate computer program documentation applicability for ships/sites based on equipment variants as well as hardware upgrades.
  • Training ship/site personnel on documentation audit, installation, and purge processes.
  • Analyze various B/L charts, schedules, and reports to determine documentation requirements based on a ship/site computer systems hardware/software configuration.
  • Utilize the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) documentation database to develop and distribute the Publication List for Aegis and Non-Aegis (PLANs) and Aegis Baseline/Document Applicability Matrix (ABAM).
  • Prepare and conduct documentation audits/installations/purges for B/L upgrades, computer program version changes, and re-deliveries derived from audits.
  • Identify process improvements, maintain process performance, document actions, and provide final quality assurance check for all deliverables.
  • Establish and maintain electronic and/or hardcopy data library of documents and work order files for documents received for processing. Interface with engineers and technical professionals regarding the editing and publication of various types of documents such as user manuals, system manuals, weapon specifications, and survey reports.
  • Oversee in-house production flow of technical publications. Track and monitor flow of all documents from inception to distribution of final copies. Identify and correct problem areas as they arise.
  • Plan, design, write, edit, and proofread documents and supervise their subsequent publication.
  • Provide lead support to publications staff.
  • Provide and coordinate program acquisition, engineering, logistics, and configuration management planning and coordination support to customer configuration manager(s).
  • Supervise activities and tasks across multiple acquisition and in-service support programs for configuration management planning, identification, change control, audit/verification, and status accounting.
  • Conduct analyses, studies, process development, problem identification and resolution, requirements definition, program planning and implementation. Prepare correspondence, plans, and reports for assigned program(s) and customer(s).
  • Participate in strategy meetings, documentation development and review, and graphics generation to assist with improving documentation processes to produce consistent, high-quality products.


Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to successfully pass a background investigation and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • This position requires travel; Must be willing and able to travel approximately 50% of the time
  • Expert understanding of the 5 Functional Areas of CM which include; Configuration Planning, Configuration Control, Configuration identification, Configuration Status Accounting, Configuration Audits
  • Proficient with MS ACCESS/EXCEL
  • Proficient with Advanced Configuration Control and Engineering Status System (ACCESS)
  • Proficient in Integrated Combat System Change Control Boards
  • Proficient with the Navy Moderation Process
  • Ability to collect data from difference sources and pull information from reports
  • Ability to work independently and effectively communicate within a team environment and across organizational levels to include co-workers, managers, and government customers

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • 10-15 years of administrative professional work experience
  • Experience related to weapons systems and/or Navy programs
