Overview

SCCI is hiring a technical professional experienced in Project Management to work with a team of DOD professionals supporting Counter-Unmanned Systems development. This Project Deputy position will be in direct support of a Government Customer / Program Manager.  The Project Deputy will work directly with the customer, executing the vision of the Program Manager, providing program planning and technical insight, attending meetings, facilitating communications, and supporting the management of multiple remote teams and stakeholders.

 

This position is located in Dahlgren, VA with significant travel requirements to Washington, DC or other stakeholder sites.   

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for the Project Deputy include but are not limited to:

  • Tracking and projecting scheduling for multiple concurrent technical efforts
  • Providing written and oral communication with stakeholders and Government Project Leaders
  • Attending and contributing to a variety of technical meetings in support of planning, progress reviews and lifecycle management processes
  • Generating & Reviewing briefing materials, and providing technical reports as required
  • Coordinating with multiple sponsors and stakeholders to ensure all objectives are met
  • Projecting funding and resourcing requirements each FY
  • Reviewing and validating monthly team contract reporting
  • Travel 50-75% of the time to Washington D.C. in support of program initiatives

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience: 

  • Must be a U.S. CITIZEN and have a minimum of an Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Requires 10 years of specialized experience leading technical and support personnel involved in the engineering and development of DOD systems
  • Requires 5+ years of experience in leading engineering and development projects for major and emerging DoD Programs, and communicating directions and providing guidance to stakeholders and professionals
  • Requires 10+ years of experience demonstrating an ability to effectively communicate verbally, and in formal reports, with technical systems engineers and application users bridging the communications gap between the functional and technical implementation requirements

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science or Business with subsequent technical experience
