    SCCI is seeking a Systems Test Engineer who will provide engineering and technical support as a system and component tester for the Battle Management System (BMS) team.


    This position is with the Test & Evaluation Integrated Product Team (T&E IPT) in support of rapid development of software-intensive systems for the Special Operations Command (SOCOM), Air Force, Navy, Army, and Marine. 


    A successful candidate will bring general knowledge of engineering design, test and troubleshooting methods and processes, such as those demonstrated in academic, professional or military laboratory environments.  The candidate must demonstrate the ability to learn new technical concepts quickly.




    This position will be part of a team that is responsible for the independent evaluation and conformance of hardware, software, and documentation products required for system release.


    This position will support daily software and system test activities in the Systems Integration Lab (SIL), as well as installation, checkout and testing of the hardware and software on various platforms.  Travel (CONUS) will be required in support of platform-based testing.  Average travel is approximately 25%, with surges up to 50-75% during a system delivery (1-2x/year).


    The duties performed will be in accordance with the customer’s Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) and associated test documentation, to include the following:


    • Develop Test Procedures for a variety of system tests.
    • Conduct Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) of corrected system deficiencies, participate in regression testing, endurance testing, and provide procedural red line updates as required.
    • Real time documentation of critical thinking/test methodology to ensure a valid test is performed to meet requirement specifications.
    • Fulfill shift work duties when required to meet schedule.
    • Conduct System Testing of program requirements in accordance with engineering documentation.
    • Present findings via Product Release Panel (PRP)/Product Certification Panel (PCP) process.



    Essential Skills and Experience:

    • Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to successfully pass a DOD background investigation
    • B.S. in Engineering or Science field, or 4 years Military experience.
    • Knowledge of test documentation development to include Test Plans, Procedures and Reports.
    • Experience working with the Windows operating environment, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to
      1. Work in a fast paced, rapidly changing range/field environment.
      2. Work independently and interface professionally with other government agencies, contractors, military personnel.
      3. Work with others to meet established goals and program schedules.
      4. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
      5. Meet travel requirement surges of up to 75% (CONUS).

    Preferred Skills and Experience:

    • Active Secret Security Clearance is highly preferred
    • In-depth knowledge of 1 or more of the following areas:
      1. Networking protocols
      2. Software Development Processes
      3. SQL databases / C++ software development
      4. Electrical Engineering design or testing
      5. DOD Acquisition Lifecycles / DOD T&E Models
      6. Linux / Unix
