Overview

SCCI is seeking a Systems Integration Manager to support IBM Project Rational Tools that include Rhapsody, ClearCase, DOORS, and other IBM tools. The candidate will lead a small team supporting the Navy Programs engineering tools suite. This position is available immediately and located in Dahlgren, Virginia.

Responsibilities

The Systems Integration Manager will do the following but are not limited to:

  • Conduct a thorough analysis of operational, technical, systemic requirements and any required modification to maintain the engineering tools infrastructure
  • Provide experience with classified Government systems and procedures
  • Create and deliver project life cycle management documentation as required
  • Solve technical and non-technical problems throughout the life of the project
  • Lead, manage, integrate, and administer system engineering tools to include Rhapsody, DOORS, ClearCase, and ClearQuest
  • Perform scripting using C/C++, Ruby, Perl etc. Design and implement networked ClearCase client/server or distribution systems
  • Understanding of infrastructure security across the tools suite and configurations to consider before rolling out to large development groups
  • Work closely with the customer and other engineers to ensure system requirements are met
  • Understanding of ClearCase license server, ClearCase registry server and ClearCase VOBs and Views servers’ administration
  • Create documentation for end-users
  • Provide feedback to application users regarding system status, events, and issues

Management:

  • Orient, train, assign, schedule, coach and counsel employees
  • Communicate job expectations by planning, monitoring, and appraising job contributions
  • Enforce policies and procedures across the Tools Team
  • Onboarding new program team members, ensuring they are brought up to speed with the scope of assigned program
  • Executing the performance assessment, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions for the team members under purview
  • Oversees and coordinates work performed by the team. Provides timely and accurate information and status updates to project sponsors, end users, and management
  • Provide timely alerts to the designated Government representative on potential issues

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to successfully pass a background investigation
  • High School diploma, or equivalent
  • 5+ years managing several team members 
  • 5+ years working with development teams and project managers to develop and maintain configuration baselines (development, test, production, etc.) supporting complex systems, project engineering development and support models
  • 5+ years using and administering CM tools to store, track, and manage configuration items 
  • 5+ years experience in working customer service and applying customer support principles and methods
  • Experience with Software design tools such as Rhapsody, DOORS or comparable tools
  • Experience with requirements, use case analysis and UML modeling
  • Experience with scripting (C/C++, Ruby, Perl, Python, PHP, etc.)
  • Experience with agile (Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban, SAFe, etc)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs, to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Skill in applying various user training methods in response to customer requirements
  • Ability to report, respond to, and resolve customer requests in a manner that demonstrates tact, patience, and resilience

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Active Security Clearance is HIGHLY preferred
  • IBM Certified Specialist – Rational Quality Manager and IBM Certified Solutions Expert – Collaborative Lifecycle Management preferred but not necessary
  • Administrator-level Windows operating system knowledge to support troubleshooting browser settings that impact application use
