SCCI is looking for a Configuration Management Analyst to provide Configuration Management (CM) support to the Track Management Navigation Program. This position is located in Dahlgren, VA and provides support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center.


  • Develop and maintain CM plans, processes, policies, and procedures
  • Develop, maintain, and present briefings related to CM tasking
  • Develop and maintain Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&M)
  • Maintain effective customer relationships
  • Facilitate communication flow within internal team and external customers
  • Perform CM related functions (Planning, Configuration Identification, Status Accounting, Configuration Control Boards, and Audits)
  • Manage and utilize various automated tools for support of CM functions (iPDM, ACCESS, SharePoint, InformeDB)
  • Travel to support sites as needed 
  • Generate/update milestone briefs/presentations and attend milestone meetings as required
  • Perform Quality Assurance (QA) tasks of configuration data to ensure accuracy
  • Develop Class I and class II Changes 
  • Perform meeting secretariat functions: generate agendas, accurately capture/distribute highlights, minutes and action items
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)


Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have a minimum of an ACTIVE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE
  • Five (5) - Ten (10) years of CM experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques used in configuration management support
  • Knowledge of CM industry standards and Military Standards (i.e., MIL-HDBK-61A & ANSI/EIA-649)
  • Knowledge of the functional disciplines of configuration management (configuration planning, configuration identification, configuration control, status accounting, audits, and data management)
  • Experience and involvement with managing and participating in Configuration Control Boards
  • Highly motivated, ability to multi-task, and work a flexible schedule in surge situations
  • Demonstrated thorough understanding of the relationship of CM functions with other engineering disciplines
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in formal reports with higher authorities
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical field or related discipline
  • 3-5 years of Track Management experience
  • Experience related to weapons systems and/or Navy program
