SCCI is looking for a Configuration Management Analyst which will provide CM related functions to support the PEO IWS System Integrated Combat System Major Program Managers (ICS MPMs), ensuring that each ship fields warfare systems that are compatible with, and interoperable with, all systems and platforms at the strike group and joint level. This position is located in Dam Neck, VA.


The Configuration Management Analyst will:

  • Provide Configuration Management expertise and recommendations for proposed changes to combat system and/or warfare system network configurations in accordance with Navy modernization processes and developmental milestones.
  • Generate standard documents such as availability summary reports, combat system weekly reports, and Configuration Status Accounting Reports (CSARs).
  • Provide Warfare System Interface Diagrams and warfare system network diagrams and Database Development/ Maintenance.  Develop and maintain the combat system Warfare System Interface Diagrams (WSIDs) and/or warfare system network diagrams as specified by the ECCP. Update, maintain, and administrate the Warfare System Configuration Change Records (WSCCR) database which is the management tool for updates to the WSIDs.
  • Perform status verification in the Advanced Configuration Control and Engineering Status System (ACCESS).
  • Provide support for combat system Integrated Product Team (IPT) and Technical Interchange (TI) meetings. The contractor shall respond to, track and maintain the status of IPT/TI meeting minutes and action items.
  • The Contractor shall support the development and maintenance of U.S. Navy shipboard network topology and IT infrastructure diagrams. These diagrams will be developed to the level of detail necessary to provide situational awareness for ship’s force during Cyber events.
  • Perform Quality Assurance (QA) checks for data accuracy and assist with resolution of discrepancies.
  • Generate and provide metrics as related to configuration installations.
  • Create and maintain program data using computer-based systems and program data from authoritative sources.
  • Capture meeting highlights/minutes, action items, and generate trip reports.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of CM processes, policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) based on program requirements.
  • Assist and/or develop reports on various data pertaining to statuses and activities within the program or project.
  • Ensure electronic deliveries of related files and documentation occur.


Essential Skills and Experience:

  •  Must be a U.S. Citizen and have a minimum of an ACTIVE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE. 
  •  High School Diploma or equivalent.
  •  Proficient with Warfare System Interface Diagrams and warfare system network diagrams and  Database Development/ Maintenance
  •  Familiar with reviewing and updating  Engineering Change Proposals (ECCP)
  •  Proficient in Navy modernization processes and developmental milestones.
  •  Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  •  Ability to collect data from difference sources and pull information from reports.
  •  Ability to effectively communicate within a team environment and across organizational levels to  include co-workers, managers, and government customers.
  •  Ability and willingness to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS) as needed (1 to 2  times per year).
  •  Ability to work independently. 

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  •  1-5 years of administrative professional work experience.
  •  Comprehensive knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques used in configuration  management support.
  •  Familiarity with the Configuration Control Board (CCB) process.
  •  Working knowledge of ships and ACCESS database experience.
  •  Experience related to weapons systems and/or Navy programs.
